Isao SOEJIMA resumed trade familial (making
Igusa fabric and Japanese umbrella) interrupted by control
or death of a predecessor temporarily.
1950
Manufacture of Japanese umbrella is stopped
at the time of Igusa product decontrol, and it became
tatami facing and Igusa carpet special occupation.
1959
Established Soejima Isao shoten co.,
LTD. Isao Soejima began to be first president. Dealings
are expanded to Honshu island (main island) & importance
was moved from Igusa carpet to Tatami facing.
1970
The letter of a courtesy visit was received
as a superior report corporation.
1977
Yasue SOEJIMA took over company from Isao
SOEJIMA because of his death.
1990
New office building completion.
1990
Good Design Award of the Ministry of International
Trade and Industry anthorization was awarded to our products
IORI series (KAKEGAWAORI “MANYO” “TSUMUGI”
etc.) for the first time in the Igusa industry.
1994
Toru SASAKI was inaugurated as the president.
1996
A retail selection was made to become independent
as a limited company IGUSA Boutique KUSA. Then, the Fukuoka-Kurume
store and Oita-Hitamameda store was opend.
